When Lind received the news that her mother had passed away, she did express sadness as their relationship had improved over time. She was described as proud, stubborn, not very gentle, and had little sympathy, but not every memory of Lind’s mother was negative. However, her mother did not necessarily treat Lind very well, which possibly stemmed from her negative experienced in her first marriage, and then with Lind’s father. ![]() As Lind’s father did not do much to help raise their daughter, she was left to take care of Lind, with little to no support from Lind’s father while he occupied himself with other activities. She had divorced her first husband due to infidelity but did not marry Lind’s father until later due to religious reasons. ![]() Lind’s mother, Anna Maria Fellborg (1793–1856), worked at a day school for girls. It was said that he had a great voice, and preferred to participate in musical events and festivals. He spent more time engaging in activities that pulled him away from his daughter and wife, and did not appear to be a responsible man. Her father, Niclas Jonas Lind (1798–1858), was young and took over his father’s company, a lace-manufacturing company and worked as a bookkeeper.
